It looks good, but where's the rest of the site?? |
Mark from LUMYR is a class act. I used his business consulting services and had great results.
I'll use him him again :thumbsup |

This is why I ran this as a free contest because I'm gathering data on a newer "concept." I've seen other guys doing variations on the same thing and it seems to be picking up steam especially with guys heavy into TGP submissions for promoting. So we'll see how the data looks... |

Are you trying to say that that style is "new" in some way?
This is a glorified low-level tgp gallery page. In addition, there is nothing on that page that would make someone want to join it. Not only that, you need to learn how to use an IFRAME properly, as the "GET A PASSWORD NOW TO SEE IT ALL!" link inside it takes you to the join, INSIDE the IFRAME. 700+ pixels jammed into a 227 pixel wide frame. not good. Broken image on the login page. What POSSIBLE good comes from that "Contact Us" button where it is ? What POSSIBLE good comes from that "Contract" page? I won't get into the thumbnails or sample images, because I might blow a gasket. It's no wonder you gave it away for free. |
In addition, did you even bother loading this up in Netscape 4.x?
|
The Truth Hurts - That site will sell well for its targeted audience.
Broken images, big deal. Link target wrong (iframe), big deal. And the rest of the stuff you mentioned is why Mark is doing what he does, and you do... whatever you do. Why do you even have Netscape?... Most surfers use IE now. I'm not saying it shouldn't look good in all browsers, but anyways. Also, aside your opinions on the design, it's better than nothing, agreed? Cheers, Matt |
You're saying "big deal" to broken images, and poor coding, on what is supposed to be a paysite?

I don't have control over the broken image and such. I just gave this to Big Frog this afternoon and he uploaded it. The only pages I did were the main and the sample pages. He knows what he's doing just fine but I know he was busy as hell today.
As to your comments re: the link - I haven't been able to find him to make the correction. I don't have FTP access, as I said I delivered and he uploaded. As to your comments re: iframes, contract, specific elements... DID YOU READ WHAT THE WHOLE POINT WAS??? The reason it's free is because it's using some ideas that are completely uncommon to the work I would GUARANTEE. How do you think I arrive at being able to guarantee work? I gather data from sources on things we try. Some in-house and then I go and do stuff for others and when I finally have enough data on a style I can guarantee it. Half the shit I did when we started doing 5 page 730x348 tours people thought was nuts and then the next thing you know they were all over the freaking place. Don't know if I was the first to do that either but I know I was at least among the first. Depends on who you ask where it started. As to your comment re: the syle as a whole - I didn't claim I invented the style I said it was the first time I'm using that kind of format. I made it clear above that I've seen other guys using it so I'm trying to much around with things and see what the results are. So in the end - money talks and bull shit walks. It's up and we see how loud the money talks now. Quote:

PS - I like your screenname but too bad "the truth" is completely subjective. =]
