SEO / Domain Brand Question
 

I was just wondering.

I am looking to start a new site that as far as I am aware isn't yet done.

Because of this the domain names (new) I could pick from are awesome. I can literally choose 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice should I wish.

My question is, if I choose the domain for my main site which uses the main keywords but there are other domains I could use which would be worthwhile to have.

How, for SERPS would I use these secondary domains to drive traffic to my primary domain?

The domains would all be new reg and I don't want to have to create 3 or 4 separate sites just to promote the main site. Should I just buy the one domain or what?

Are you asking how to make the other domains feeder sites to the main one?

Buy the domain for the main site and then redirect the extras to the main site if the extra domains are valuable and ya don't wanna leave them open to any possible competition. :2 cents:

I would put a little relevant content before I would redirect.

better as feeders but...

Are you asking because concern for self linking?

I wouldn't worry about shit, buy them all. Develop each one and do whatever you want.

As I am sure you know, feeders don't have to be extensive sites . . . never time to do it right the first time I suppose.

I guess I wondered if there was a way to gain traffic from a new domain+Title+Meta +301 redirect. So using the Secondary domains title & domain attributes but using the primary domain content.

Is there a way? Probably. Not sure it is the right way though.
