How to use Epoch AND CCBill without leaks...
How to use Epoch AND CCBill (including both affiliate-programs) for your paysites without your affiliates having leaks?
I use Epoch as first and only processor... and also my affiliate program is epoch-based. But... I want to be able to serve ccbill affiliates (also the small ones that only push ccbill-sites) the possibility to promote me through ccbill. So two places where affiliates can grab promos and codes... which one they prefer... Can this be done without leaks and without adding more (software)parties to the operation? Visitors that come via ccbill-affiliate must absolutely only be served with ccbill joinforms. Visitors that come via Epoch-affiliate must absolutely only be served with epoch-joinforms. I don't work with tours... I think tours are crap... My whole site is one big open "tour" so all visitors can see what they get with their own eyes before signing up. Some programs have a special ccbill tour and another epoch-tour, but then when you typin the website's url the tour is gone and the wrong biller COULD be served... So... special tours are not perse the solution... It must be absolutely leak-free... Cascading is also not a solution... cascading is to send a DENIAL through a cascading-link to a second processor and (correct me if i'm wrong) not to use one processor only as affiliate-program and the other as processor. Thanks... Ar. |
you could make a clone of your site like
www2.strugglingbabes.com and use that for the CCBill URL You could also just ad a simple php code to the 'tour' pages that if a CCBill variable is parsed along (eg CA=) all the signup links go to /membership_ccbill/ instead of /membership Or you could add that code to the /membership page that if the CCBill var is available it shows the CCBill options instead of the Epoch options |
enable extra info in ccbill and check for
if CA var is set then set cookie to know whether this came from ccbill or not. set payout url to ccbill or tour 2 which then sends surfer to ccbill everything else to epoch.1 and add code to check for cookie too. |
In the end you will have to run two affiliate programs, one for CCBill and one for Epoch and have affiliates signup to both programs. Then they can choose how to promote, via which processer etc.
Type-ins are another matter. For those you will have to decide which program you yourself will get paid through. You have it setup as Epoch now so type-ins will remain "yours" via Epoch. CCBill affiliates would not get paid via type-ins. I don't know of any other way with type-ins. LOL :) PS. This shouldn't be a 'struggle' to get the 'bucks'. Hehe |
You have had good tips in this thread. If ever you do not have any time to spend to do the setup, I can definately set you up.

Few question though: enable extra info in ccbill : where to enable extra info in ccbill? What is CA var? Quote:

Use the set and check for a cookie based on the referrer, then you can even serve mobile payment solutions as well for mobile traffic. You'd need to include it on all pages in case aff's send traffic to places other than the home page.

Set a cookie which controls which join forms are shown. If neither the special Epoch or CCBill affiliate cookie (special for your site) is not found then show it as normal as you would for a type-in. Make sure to set the cookie length for these cookies equal or greater than the length of the respective affiliate cookies.
I think you might also want to intercept the redirect from refer.ccbill.com (and epoch's) and then set the appropriate cookie at that point, possibly based on the referrer. Just be careful not to overwrite any of the regular CCBill or Epoch cookies anywhere. CCBill also is supposed to have a cascade with Epoch that when properly set up gives affiliates credit. I'm not sure if Epoch has the same thing. for their affiliate program. |

When a surfer clicks a CCBill link code the user ends op on your site with a CA variable, something like http://www.yoursite.com/?CA=XXXX-XXXX You add a simple line of php code to your landing page that when the CA variable is present a cookie is set (for example ccbill=1). Then on your join page you add a script that if the user has a cookie with ccbill=1 it will show the CCBill options instead of the Epoch options. If you set the cookie for 2 months or whatever, the CCBill form would still show (and the affiliate would still be credited), if the surfer came back a few weeks later by type-in. This is the simplest option. You could make it a bit more 'advanced' by also parsing along the CA variable through all the links on your site to the join page so that even if the surfer had cookies disabled it would still recognize that the surfer came through CCBill and still have the affiliate data available. |

one for ccbill and another for epoch. Quote:
ccbill > legacy affiliate > Append Data on Redirect > Enabled (When enabled, this option allows you to append data on a redirect. ) for e.g. http://refer.ccbill.com/cgi-bin/clicks.cgi?CA=901313&PA=2056383&HTML=http://www.rylskyart.com/ http://refer.ccbill.com/cgi-bin/clicks.cgi?CA=901313&PA=2056383&HTML=http://www.sexart.com/ http://refer.ccbill.com/cgi-bin/clicks.cgi?CA=945126-00000&PA=2056383&HTML=http://www.exgffilms.com/t1/ then check url when you land on the tour page. there is CA and PA value gets passed on to the tour page. you just have to catch those.. you can use same fhg too, just add small code to it ., if get ccbill isset then change all links to ccbill tour page or ccbill prejoin form./ |

I find it strange talking about solutions that are not 3rd party, buy the solutions inherently with processors are third party. |

One additional spin / tip: --> this is not useful / required with ccbill, but with certain processors you may workaround any referral issues by placing, directly in the "paysite url" of your processor something like "mypaysite.com?processor=thisprocessor" |
