I really cannot understand people getting addicted to Vic.Percs and so forth.......
This past 6 weeks I had 2 in office procedures done ....nothing too intensive...
First time I was told to take only tylenol and i might have some pressure.. no biggie...That night i was fucking really bad.... So this past Monday I told the doc and he gives me 40 Vicodins.... I get home and just want to pass out before the anesthetic pops away so I take one Vicodin.... Woooweeeeeeeeeeee wtf man i was in la la land and puked my brains out... for the next 24 hrs i was fucked up just from the effects of it.... So my point at least for me even the thought of taken another Vicodin just makes me wanna puke... How the fuck is it that : This doc gives me 40 Vics 8 per day for 5 days prescribed (WTF) How the hell do people enjoy this shit... I understanf the "high" feeling but the side effects are fucked... TBH i would rather have just smoked crazy weed and would have passed out ..... |
Probably threw up all the cum you swallowed that day.

Maybe your mom smoked while she was pregnant with you? U still collecting govt aid or did it ru out yet? |
Percocets are even worse, I broke my foot once and for a few months all I did was get itchy and feel dumb as fuck from taking opiate pills. No idea how anyone can find that buzz appealing.

I was given morphine in the hospital last year and after a day of getting those shots I walked out of the hospital feeling I had just returned from a 2 week vacation in Bora Bora.
Right now I have a bottle of Oxycodone and am loving it. I never get my pain meds refilled because I am scared I will get addicted. I just take the first bottle slowly and then just deal with the pain after that. |
gum surgery? they gave me a bottle of percocets - i can absolutely understand how people get hooked, that warm fuzzy numb feeling is amazing to me. i resisted taking them for anything but pain.
weed does nothing but make me feel agitated. everybody's brain chemistry seems to be different. |
So, uh, what are you going to do with your leftovers?
|
yeah i dont like the feeling either.
i never understood why people liked them so much |
When I had problems with my mouth - and there was a long period while living in Phoenix where I was constantly in pain - I took a lot of vicodine and percocet. I remember one time I popped a bunch of pills, hopped on my motorcycle and drove to the dentist, popped some more pills, and when they finally called my name.... I stood up and fell flat over, knocked out cold.
But once we finally got my mouth right... there was zero desire to take pills. It wasn't for fun, it was for pain. |

Not everyone has the emotional/psychological and/or genetic predispositions or weakness of character for addiction.

it is different, when you take them for pain vs recreationally :2 cents: When I had my bike accident, I was on perks for a while(6 broken ribs , 2 fractured ankles) it was a bitch to get off them. Still take them for pain occasionally :winkwink:

Why do people get addicted to them? Simple. They effect everyone differently and just like any drug, some people experience the negative side effects and others don't. If you pop some hydro's and have an itchy and nauseating experience that ends with vomiting, you will never want to see them again, and honestly you are probably better off having a bad experience with opiates than a good one. When I took Vicodin for the first time after surgery in high school, it gave me a stronger calm and relaxed feeling that was better than weed, hands down. And that's why to this day, even though I had never been drawn towards any other drug (even while a lot of my friends started to abuse them), it took a lot of will-power for me to turn down opiates when they were practically handed to me since I KNEW the experience I had with them was all good... too good, really.
In short, the reason people get addicted to prescription pain killers is because they don't experience the same unpleasant side effects as you. And then they lack will-power and abuse it as soon as the opportunity presents itself. Then they're screwed... possibly for life... and check themselves into the methadone clinics. |
you are not supposed to be taking 8 per day
|
When I take them, they do nothing for me. I might as well have eaten a sugar cube. I don't even bother and just take advil or tylenol.
|
Vicodin are relatively weak. Did you take it as prescribed?
I always wonder how people get addicted to Xanax. Even the smallest dose knocks me the fuck out. |
Opiates suck, really gross feeling shit.

Never had this problem. Maybe my prescription wasn't as strong.
