Kim Jong-un?s ex-girlfriend ?executed for violating laws against pornography?
 

A former girlfriend of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has been executed for violating laws against pornography, according to reports in South Korea.

Singer Hyon Song-wol was arrested and killed by firing squad along with several other performers on the orders of the dictator, according to Chosun Ilbo, South Korea?s largest daily newspaper.

The 12 victims, members of two popular music troupes in the secretive communist state, were accused of filming themselves having sex and selling the videotapes.

They allegedly also had bibles in their possession and were therefore treated as political dissidents, it has been reported.

?They were executed with machine guns while the key members of the Unhasu Orchestra, Wangjaesan Light Band and Moranbong Band as well as the families of the victims looked on,? a source told the newspaper.

Family members of the victims are believed to have been taken to prison camps after the execution under North Korea?s guilty by association laws.

Kim Jong-un and Hyon Song-wol reportedly met ten years ago, but Kim was ordered to break off the relationship on the orders of his father Kim Jong-il.

Kim married Ri Sol-Ju in 2009, however there had been rumours the pair were still having an affair.

So in short, they did porn, they had bibles, were summarily found guilty by a dictator without due process, and shot to death while their families were forced to watch, after which the family members were themselves imprisoned re: guillty by association, again with no due process. That about sum it up?

Normally I'd make a joke but instead I think I'll just go ponder the notion that the rest of us are probably lucky that the people in OUR countries who feel that those sorts of punishments are right and exactly what we all deserve don't have the power that Kim-Jong has.

I find it hard to get upset and annoyed at the little things in life, because I constantly remind myself that with things like this, and a good 1/3rd of the planet not having access to clean water (something I just turn a tap for), my level of living and existence is so far beyond that of others who themselves are doing the best they can and staying positive.

It's a shame that in 2013, this is the world we live in.
