Depending on the words of others only creates a temporary moment of motivation/inspiration. Sure, they sound nice, but far too many drown themselves in quotes and motivational videos instead of working from within. Find your internal motivational force or you will just be another YouTube potato.

Guys like Jay-Z and Elon Musk do not cruise YouTube for a good pep talk.

some days I go around to local fast food restaurants, like subway, and interview people that are over the age of 25, that are currently not pursing a PhD (excluding the mentally ill), and ask them about themselves, their dreams and how they like working there.

then when I need some motivation, I play those interviews...
