That isn't the idea PETA is trying to push.

They're saying killing cows, chickens, lambs, pigs, and all other animals in slaughterhouses is the same as killing the Jews, the sick, Gypsis, etc during the Holocaust.

Totally different things. We eat the animals. It's not just mass extermination of the species for the hell of it. If we didn't eat the animals they wouldn't even exist, they're specifically bred for eating.

No, flip it around the other way. If we killed mass herds of animals just for the hell of it, without eating or using the animal for some purpose, then that could be somewhat considered like the Holocaust.
