Digital Ocean sucks balls. If those drives are SSDs, they have some massive configuration problems. I/O performance is terrible.

I prefer Linode on the high end, but you can't beat the low end prices of Digital Ocean. Both are great!

Many tuts to get started.Give it it a try with a test site.Costs are low anyway

I am using. They are perfect. The only problem is that they are made for developers.

Does that mean they are not novice friendly such as control panel installs of scripts and what not?

no what a luck, no control panel, no autoinstaller,
you have to setup a box on your own from scratch, even compiling the source code
of a linux distribution

so move on and leave them to the pros
they are allready overused and have constant breakdowns and network maintainance

You can buy a WHM/cPanel license online from BuyCPanel and install it (just one line of code to execute - or they can install it for you for free) and there you go...

from there you can do it everything from GUI and there's tons of resources online...
