What the fuck is VCR tracking?

its an adjustment on your VCR, to make sure the heads and the tape are aligned properly.
it eliminates distortion of the picture...

Otherwise you'll see typical interference at the bottom of the frame.

Sold lots of computers back in those days. People didn't have a clue how email worked. A lot of post-sale time was spent talking people down off ledges like that.

LOL. I remember hitting the tracking button when the video was off. That's hilarious. Totally forgot about that.

I remember back in 93 when I went to visit friends in Phoenix, they have a pc hooked up to the web at that time AOL was the king. It was even before Altavista and Lycos and besides IBM and Microsoft there were another handful of sites on the WWW.

About that time PBS had a 1/2 hour weekly show explaining simple things like e-mail. Every time they introduced a new term or concept you got either a Boinnnngggg sound or the submarine augha dive sound.
About as bad a a utube of something you want to learn. 2 minutes of information stretched into 10.

I dont remember 'installing' the internet in my home back in 96 as requiring a team approach or being all that difficult

There was a time when the Net was so small that I think I knew every site out there.

That song at the beginning made me almost spit out my coffee.

Does anyone else remember when America Online was all you knew? Back then, were only 3 hot girls using the internet.
