I'd take the red one over the first one in a pinch.

Good point.

Total waste of money of course. Sure its a collectors item but can it really appreciate past $35M?

And besides, Jeremy Clarkson is a fucking asshole. Anything that he likes, he's paid to like. Anything he's paid to hate, he will say he hates. Wanker.

invester cars with established provenance like these cars are sure-fire investments. you can't point to any dip in this market.

fyi, jeremy clarkson is a television character. the show and characters are entirely setup. it's not a documentary series.

That type of purchase seems so weird to me. It is not a great car or great piece of history or anything really. You have a non- art piece kind of.

TheSquealer 08-19-2013 12:08 PM

Its an investment that will appreciate in value. Not "a car".

Sure, but it is still a car.

My bet is it's Lawrence Stroll here in Montreal that bought it, he has one of the most extensive Ferrari collections and recently opened new dealership here.

His kid is being trained by the Ferrari F1 team now I believe.

Pocket change for the guy

dyna mo 08-19-2013 01:06 PM

Its been for sale for years. It has major structural problems.

I was thinking about this... I remembered seeing it listed quite a few years ago. I believe it was also featured in The Robb Report or a magazine like that as well and listed for sale in the back.

Good point.

It's a collectors item, a rare piece of history, and one of the best looking cars ever made.

If you have 35 million to spare and you think something is worse 35 million, go for it.

you do realize homes can be for sale then not be for sale right? you also prolly realize homes can be repaired?

good, because that's the story here, the home has been off the market for a couple years and just last week relisted.

not sure why you felt the need to try and *correct* my post.

It's not just a "collectors item" - its an investment that tends to appreciate significantly, year after year. Not sure why so few understand that its an investment that has probably tripled in value in the last 5 years, not "a car".

e-god 08-20-2013 06:47 AM

There are 3 kinds of people in the world. Those who know how to count and those who don’t.

Of course it's an investment..

Exactly, the value isn't going to start depreciating rapidly. It's not like investing Beanie Babies.

alex.missyouth 08-20-2013 08:26 AM

I'll pass on this one, nothing with just 4 wheels could cost that much.
