For a while there I was watching aljazeera online....

aljazeera has been trying to break into the US market for some time. They have a huge image problem here.

allow me to restate... Could they really be any worse than the propaganda machines masquerading as mainstream media here? Sure they could, but they'd have to try really fucking hard.

Nothing wrong with another news source and it likely can't be any worse than RT, Fox or the likes.

It's like when you see a RT news report you have to expect they will try to tell you America is stealing candy from babies while Putin is Jesus himself.

Alj will just have a more pro mid east stance. If they can stay away from the bash the US tone then they will be much more successful than RT is in the US.

I will not argue about RT, they are like the Russian Fox News. Al Jazeera's news reporting is great. Their news shows(like The Stream) can be just as biased against the US as Fox is against the Middle East.

Say what? I haven't noticed a change, and I'm not behind a proxy. Mine still goes straight to http://www.aljazeera.com/. I watch it daily.

i don't find aljazeera any better or worse than any of the mainstream news sites, just like the rest, they have an agenda and they have a bottom line $ they need to answer to.

they are simply part of my aggregated news pool that i sift through and read multiple articles on the same issues from separate agencies to try to gain a realistic idea of wtf .

I can't or didn't say they were a bad news source just that they will of course have a pro middle east stance.

Nothing wrong with that in itself, so long as they stay away from the constant anti America stuff like you see all the time on RT.

Fox news on the other hand is just horrible. I'm convinced the only reason normal people watch it, is because they always have the news woman sitting out in the open in short skirts showing lots of leg. LoL

I take it you have never watched Al Jazeera news because your assumptions would be incorrect. It isn't like every country in the Middle East gets along with each other.
