True there is only one way to get ahead in this business now, INVEST a lot of money and build something unique that will sell. If you have no money for investment and shitall experience then its going to be a very hard slow road. If you have $100,000 to invest into a project then yes you can take on the big boys as long as your experience is good enough. Its not easy these days but there is still money to be made if your willing to invest some money to do it.

A new industry?? Have you been to the museum recently and seen the painting, the statues, seen the frescos on the walls of Roman or Greek palaces or brothels?

This is the whole problem in a nut shell, to many think they invented porn. Well I have news for you I been in porn and jerking off to it for more years than I care to remember.

The problem for most newbies is; they had a computer for Xmas, but no business experience, no life experience, no porn experience, no money, no ideas, no integrity and they think porn is the easiest business in the world.

There is still more than enough money to be made in porn, even for newbies.

The only problem is most of them lack the creativity and dedication which is necessary to succeed in the business the way it is today.
Building a mainstream or teen TGP, setting up a free tradescript and a free tgp script, and then spending half an hour a day on it isn't gonna yield results. Hell, my sig here on GFY most likely makes more money than the average TGP.
However, creating a new concept, doing research, setting it up and then working your ass off for many years most likely will yield results.

I think if a newbie is intelligent, has a good business sense and is wiling to work hard, he can still succeed.

Totally agree with that. Today's successfull newbies are those who innovate and who will make more than those bragging and thinking they are the one controlling the industry just because they think they were in this game a few years earlier.

Besides, this whole "porn is dying" shit topic was posted here last year, the year before, and if I go into the porncity forums it was posted the year before that as well. I'm sure I saw such a thread during the first year I was in business on some forum. It's old.
