Please explain "registry items" re: OSX.

out of that list i use codekit, total finder, 1password, and brackets from time to time

Handbrake, Alfred, Hackstore (not what you think it is ...), Fluid, Flycut, Caffeine, Coconut Battery, Free Memory, Total Terminal, Jing, Kindle, smcFanControl, Text Wrangler, Libre Office ....
