I'm not fucking around in attack, I have Van Persie and Chicharito. Dzeko will be good value if he starts, he is a goal scorer but I think Man City have signed 2 strikers that will play the majority of games.

£14 is a LOT for one player, but Van Persie will play every game. I dunno if I could justify so much on one player this year. He was my captain for most of last year and it worked out great due to his consistency

That's the problem with Chelsea & Man City, they have such depth in their squads that it could be a different midfield or attack from one week to the next :Oh crap

It's gonna be a toss up between Dzeko & Negredo to lead the line for City, Aguero plays in the hole behind the main striker & Jovetic is a similar player to Aguero but he can also play on either wing too.

Ricky...Dzeko won't be getting a lot playtime if Negredo and Jovetic do well, Man city just shelled out 25 and 26 m? for them, plus remember ... Aguero is Choice #1

That's the mistake I did last season, i didn't want to pay the price for him.
I think Ashley had him as a Captain and Boy did he pay out :1orglaugh:1orglaugh

Dzeko has been doing great in pre season so I guess we'll see :)

That's the key to doing well, getting the captain right consistently! Van Persie got 3 bonus points nearly every week too!

Sweet! Good luck man! Yes, it starts to get really challenging when you have to find solid 4-4.5pt players.

Chelsea's midfield and Man City's attack have such a wealth of talent this year that it is almost impossible to know who will start the season.

It's a pity that teams like Man U and Arsenal etc seem to be waiting till the end of the transfer window before splashing the cash.

Especially if Man U do end up signing Ronaldo :1orglaugh

Some years can be good and some bad (am hoping after last year this will also be a good year for me or i am going to look pretty stupid!), being 100 plus points in front by week 30 helped a lot as when your chasing the teams above you make changes to the team and then you watch the player you took out score a hat trick lol

Early days but the season could be the best for years... ManU looked typically strong, Man City and Chelsea looked really attack minded this year. City were epic against Newcastle so much talent and still star players in the bench. Interesting to see Chelsea be taken to the wire by Villa on their second game of the week. Maybe Villa are still pissed about the 8 goals they beat them by previously lol Rotations at City and Chelsea make it really hard to know who will be playing week after week!

I missed the deadline on Saturday as i mixed my times up so was very nervous when the weekly kick offs came around. Got very lucky on some defensive picks as my midfield was not finalised so am hoping i didn't use up all my luck on week one :winkwink:

Anelka has gone mental walked out of training saying he is going to retire lol so if you have him get him out ASAP!

Vincent Kompany out for a few weeks, City could really suffer from this IF they come up against a team that can counter their aggressive attacking style.

Southampton making some ambitious moves in the market again with a 15M buy this week from Italy.

Man U vs. Chelsea could be a goal fest but in most cases they never are has score draw written all over it!
