How do you get dreamweaver to open .tpl files properly in dreamweaver? (so you can edit them)

they're just text files, Dreamweaver should open them no problem. Unless of course, some other app uses .tpl as an extension.

Just rename them .html or .txt and then when you're done switch back to .tpl
