Not true at all. Imagine all of the amazing fruits available in Central America that are difficult to find in North America. How often do you see a starfruit in the store? It's hard enough finding a good Mexican papaya, and those are from Mexico!

I grew up in Kaneohe Hawaii and that fruit rated right up there next to poi as food to avoid.

Their nutritional content and value is higher. That's why :)

Guava, Mango, Papaya, Pineapple, yes...Hala, hell no. :)
