It KILLS me seeing pics like this w/ "PLAYBOY" marl on them...as many average, or below typical/sterotyped "PLAYBOY" standards models that are on PLAYBOY PLUS...it's more like PLAYBOY MINUS.

{I'm NOT saying every girl I shoot is perfect...but for PLAYBOY to use 90% of the chicks they do on "PLUS"....just to fill it up...pathetic}

Not sure about the "Plus" part. Thread title was Playboy Playmate of the Month which already is a brand in itself. I guess thats why i was so confused to see such an average "seen her before" porn model and a horrible pic.

Their site is horrible. Celebrities and glamour photography and done so poorly that there's no clear idea of what you'd even be paying for. That site is so amateur and poorly done in its attempt to market a product.

I never paid attention to these guys and haven't read the magazine in well over a decade. All I can say is that i glance around today and its instantly clear why they are failing.

I'm not overly impressed with the picture .... but it's not that bad either. The girl is pretty....the lighting: elementary. I've grown up studying the work of the greats who have shot girls for Playboy for years....in fact, I just had lunch yesterday with legendary Playboy photographers Arny Freytag & Ken Marcus. I'm conditioned to appreciate "great" photography and lighting technique from Playboy photographers....sadly, it appears that these things have lost their importance to the brand over the years.

I struggle to be inspired anymore it seems.... from companies that I used to look up to for inspiration. Quality has taken a backseat to quantity in so many areas. Now I look outside the industry for inspiration. Just a sign of the times I guess :thumbsup

I don't know who it is. I just meant that to me... someone who is not a photographer but that grew up with Playboy and Penthouse magazines all around me, it looks like any other porn girl with makeup. This is what has changed. 20 years ago, there was no mistaking Playboy photography/models for anything else. There was also nothing being mistaken for Playboy photography or models. There was Playboy/Penthouse and then there was everything else. Now they are just another bunch of people taking pictures of naked girls.

I couldn't agree more. Playboy & Penthouse had a standard of quality that put them on another level. The hottest girls and the best photographers, hair/makeup artist and stylist. I used to could spot a Playboy picture instantly, these days not so much :Oh crap
