Does anyone own a "Porn House" in the LA area?
 

I know there are homes in the Los Angeles area that are rented out to shoot porn movies, because of their interior and location, but nobody lives there.

Now that LA has the "must use condom" law, what is going to happen to these homes? Does anyone own a home that you mostly used to shoot porn but can't rent out anymore because of this law?

Thoughts?

I remember shooting two scenes in a home just north of LA, it was fully furnished and ready for shooting anytime. They don't use that home anymore. The house was huge, great hallways, spiral staircase, but I wouldn't walk through it without a hazmat suit. The carpet was pretty bad.

This is what made me think of this thread. I am just wondering what people's experiences are with locations they can no longer use in the LA area.

Why do you start out with the assumption that people who used to rent their homes for adult oriented shoots are not doing so anymore?

Well that's what I'm interested in - what are they doing with them instead of nobody is renting them for adult?

They can rent them out for porn with the new law, but nobody is renting them. The other thread mentioned there was 1 permit for an adult film in the LA area in 2013. Compared to 213 for 2012.

Wow! You realize that means hardly anyone is shooting porn in LA this year?

People do live in those houses. And all shoots have gone way underground. Even the permitted condom shoots.

It's business as usual. All the homes I use are so busy that sometimes they are double booked.
