Crowd Funding for Brick & Mortar Stores?

A friend of mine has been trying to setup a business towards helping pets with daycare and other services. Awesome idea, just no one wants to invest.

I told him to check out some crowd funding sites, but he is a little computer illiterate when it comes to the interwebs, but I can't even find to many. Anyone know of ones for more "business" related and less technology/toy related?

what's so awesome about it? seems average at best...

and what does he need investors for anyway, unless I'm missing something, capital required to start a business like that is minimal...
