just follow equal, not one more or one less. EXACTLY equal is required for coolness.

I don't follow

Bourke 07-29-2013 02:51 AM

follow less than you are followed. Only follow accounts that do actually interest you.

pm2000 07-29-2013 04:06 AM

ok look i dont give shit about who follows who, how do you build traffic on twitter?

suesheboy 07-29-2013 04:25 AM

My best Klout (55) is on an account that I follow less than 50 and have more than 7,400 followers (mainstream).

GENESIS had it right back in 1978.
Follow You, Follow Me.

Followers only matter as much as you can monetize them. :2 cents:

If you have million followers then Yay! Thats swell but what are you gonna do with them?

Rebel D 07-29-2013 12:08 PM

being followed is always better then following

oppoten 07-29-2013 12:23 PM

Follow more then unfollow the ones who don't follow back.

Being cool doesn't matter when you're first trying to build a following. Cam girls, Mistresses and phone sex types all want to look "cool", yet many of them follow lots to start out with.

thanks everyone, so thats the way to do it ,follow first, build a following and then get rid of fake and useless followers. Awsome!!!

Bullshit.

Pump out great content often. No more than 1 in 5 with links. Always leave at least 20 free characters left to make re-tweets easier.

Find the leader you wish to emulate and follow who they follow. Engage. Engage. Engage.

Retweet others.

Set up a FB account and have the Twitter feed update Facebook as well.

I find if I follow too many people I can not weed through all the noise and I lose the engagement. With 10 big accounts I follow about 4k total but have about 45k followers following me. If I don't get at least 30 retweets and/or mentions in a day I failed

I feel the same way I try and keep them the same or better. Not that I've gotten the 2k limit ban over and over until I learned :D

I just got the 2k ban, what does that mean, and how do get rid of the ban??

suesheboy 07-31-2013 08:06 AM

have you checked your Klout score and tracked it when making changes in your strategies?

fris 07-31-2013 08:53 AM

this guy followed me yesterday

weird

Creatine 07-31-2013 08:54 AM

Make sure not to follow way to fast. I got banned because I followed around 200 people in a single day.

i don't think they will let you acquire more than that in a day??? and once you hit 2K they stop you??? just like tumblr....bitches salting on my game yo!!!

suesheboy 07-31-2013 09:52 AM

You guys are really missing the point. You want others to follow you.

Engagement and quality content is what drives followers to come to you, you getting retweeted and "FF's". Those will get you lots of followers.

barelist 07-31-2013 09:57 AM

We just follow models, sites and a few site owners. Basically what makes sense... not too many celebs or personal friends.
