Bike of the Future?

http://phota.me/Y1Sf.jpg

The future doesn't have to degenerate into a Soylent Green type of dystopia for people to realize the value in recyclable transportation. That's right-instead of cars and bikes that take forever to breakdown, maybe it makes sense to build them out of stuff that can dissolve before the next Ice Age.

The bike above is only $29 and can support a 300 pound rider. Would you ride one? Just hope it doesn't rain :winkwink::1orglaugh

Here's the awesome video: http://vimeo.com/37584656

as an avid mountain biker let me tell you that the bike is shit....you can not make a frame out of cardboard LOL...you have to understand how important frame rigidity is in a sport like cycling...its not about winning the "tour de france" its about understanding that a frame that flexes and soaks up all your energy is a complete shit ride...

its like making a bike out of glass...it can be done, but there is no good reason to do so....

Bamboo is the way to go, flexible and strong enough to take quite some punishment on the roads or off road for that matter

Yeah it's a stupid idea, metal bikes last almost forever and metal is very recyclable.

The bike and the guy who builds them was featured on the "Next List" on CNN. It's completely waterproof.

But a very cool idea.
