How can I build landing pages with Worpress?

please do you know how I can build landing pages within Wordpress? I need to build pics galleries and video galleries, then I need to add keywords for SE indexing. I've seen a couple of plugins, but nothing so interesting...

None can help me?

On the left hand side of wordpress three is a link for "pages". is this what you need?

create a custom page template, but by the sounds of it you are just after creating galleries. maybe a more in depth description would be better.

Are you looking for the main page of wordpress to be your landing page? If so then create a custom page as your landing page, go into the theme customization area and change the setting so that the front page is a static page. It will ask you which page you want to make as the front static page and you select the custom page you made.

Once you do that everyone who arrives at your site will see that static front page.

If this isn't what you need can you better describe your needs?

You want to build a static worpress index page (landing page) and then create picture and video gallery post with titles, tags and the works via the post function. Is that you are asking for?

If it is, just do as kane stated above and build the galleries via the post function as usual.

i would create a custom page template, and set it as your index under reading.

ive done this before with a custom gallery provided by a sponsor, i converted the gallery html/css/images to a wordpress template (not theme) then when i added the images via the wordpress backend it would fill up the spot where the actual images would be on a hosted gallery for example.

not sure if thats the route you want?
