Should The Dallas Cowboys Get Rid Of Emmitt Smith ??
Being a Cowboy fan, I don't know if that's such a good idea. Sure, he's getting up there in age, but he still has some life in him.
I suppose that if Parcels and Jones think that he's had enough, then I guess they're right. It'd be strange seeing Emmitt playing on another team. What do all of you think ?? http://espn.go.com/nfl/news/2003/0226/1515044.html |
Texas native here...Dallas fan since I can remember...my dad even took me to the game the day Bob Lilly retired...and I say yes it's time to get rid of Emmit.
Sure he still has a bit of life in him, but it's time for Dallas to build towards a future. |
Time to move on.

Hell yes, they outta get rid of him faster than a texas 2-step !!
:zzwhip |
they already released him...$10mil for a running back that can't be a 3 down back isn't worth it...for sure time to move on
|
I would have liked to see him stay until they had a suitable replacement. Hambrick isn't the answer, and the draft is super thin at RB. They could have restructured the 10 mil, and I know Emmitt wanted to stay. I understand the move, but it still chokes me up a little. LOL. Hate to see him go, but it was one hell of a run(sorry for the play on words).
Thanks for the 3 trophies Emmitt!! |
It's the way of the NFL now.

Barry Sanders needs to come back! :thumbsup
Then the Lions might have a chance of winning more than 5 games! Its tough being a Lions fan.... and if Barry never retired... Emmitt would have no record!:2 cents: |
