Creation theories
I'm reading commentary on this book "The Life and Death of Planet Earth".
It claims there have been about five mass extinctions in this brief "animal" time period. Also, assuming planets need to be close to a star for life to develop, but being that close means that life will inevitably be destroyed. It seems a big cycle of creation and destruction of life. Beginning supposedly with a big bang when the formation of the universe as we know it could have began in a subatomic particle. Given our perception of beginnings and endings, what theories exist that you have considered or are aware of that might explain what was before ? If the universe is finite in such a way, in what vastness does it exist ?
