That clause used to be in my old contract so I could use it as a tool to get rid of unproductive webmasters after giving them 4 months to ramp up and generate a SINGLE billable call. Sounds to me like you might have fallen into that category... you're quite bitter!

Interestingly enough, in two plus years with SinTalk I have never once charged setup, cancellation or a maintenance fee.
