help my fat ass????

as of today I am officially going to be hitting a h serious regime of a

diet..first on the agenda is to give up fast food ( very very very

hard) and doing 2 hours of gym work daily...what do you suggest? I

know there are several ex fatass people and still fat ass people

here...so lets get this black bastard lookin dead sexy!

Sly_RJ 02-27-2003 11:00 AM

Don't you think jumping into 2 hour workout routines might be a little difficult or hard on you? You might want to gradually move into the 2 hour routine instead.

Drop the fast food, drop the soda, drink plenty of water, eat healthy food. I eat pretty healthy for the most part and always feel on top of the world, it's great!

Sly is right...you'll never stick to a 2 hour workout routine straight up. Try like 20 mins on an exercise bike daily and add 2 mins to your total gym time every day or something like that.

Good luck.

eroswebmaster 02-27-2003 11:03 AM

I've cut out softdrinks, fast food is next.

I remember a time when I lost 50 pounds eating more food than I ever have in my life.

I ate 3 meals a day, breakfast, lunch and dinner. The thing was I cooked them all at home.

They included a main entree, 2 vegetables and always a side salad.

I need to get back to that :(

I've gained even more weight since I moved to Vegas, and I eat less. By that I mean I rarely eat breakfast, sometimes a lunch but always dinner. I think those other 2 meals have been replaced by snacking on things high in fat, charbohydrates, and calories...even if I eat less I'm eating more in those categories.

Sassyass 02-27-2003 11:05 AM

start smoking. (1 pack)
drink your coffe black (1 pot a day)
eat rice and veggies
chicken
go for a morning walk every morning
quit drinking beer

TDF 02-27-2003 11:05 AM

right now I eat a pretty healthy breakfast and dinner..i tend to skip lunch outright...I think my stomach is all pepsi though

That's the first thing that has to go.

You can diet all damn day long, there is as much sugar and calories in one can of soda as about 6 apples.

coca-cola is the monkey on my back.

I've gotten used to drinking diet vanilla coke...and have added more water as well.

Safer and easier than Atkins, eat pretty much all you want and don't even have to exercise your ass off (though some is, of course, recommended).

JohnV 02-27-2003 11:07 AM

TDF,

Find someone to work out with that is dedicated, that will help you big time! Make working out a habit and not something you hate doing.

MiaSimonsen 02-27-2003 11:10 AM

Most importantly - substitute all drinks with water. Stay away from beer especially - it's so fatening. If you don't like to drink water alone - add icecubes and lemon slices to it - lemonade style with a little sugar. (not bleached sugar - but brown sugar)
Stay away from Nutrasweet and "less fat" products - they substitute the pure sugar with all kinds of chemicals.

However, eat all you want - as long as it's healthy. Eat vegetables raw - but stay off too many potatos, white bread (substitute with sourdough rye - not jut rye bread) lay off the butter - cook in Olive oil instead eat meats like: chicken, turkey, pork and fish.

If you cook your veggies - don't over cook - just steam or you will take all the vitamins out.

You don't have to work out two hours daily - and hour is more than enough. It's all about what you put in your body. If you start working out too hard though - the fat will be used for muscles - and you will be "muscle bulky" ... better to loose some weight first- and then start toning your body a little later.

Good luck,
Mia

Don't skip lunch. You need to keep your metabolism going. You work from home, so it should be a lot easier to eat healthy. Stop by Wal-Mart and buy a George Foreman Grill, then drop by Vons and pick up a family pack of chicken breasts. Throw one of those puppies on the grill, add some spices, and you'll have a great meal. Have a salad or steamed broccoli on the side with a big glass of water.

Don't skip meals. Replace them with healthy meals.

Damn, now I'm hungry.

Yo Adrian 02-27-2003 11:14 AM

Just remember NOT to cut out all fat from your diet!!!

This is a huge mistake most people make when trying to lose weight........there's good fat and bad fat bro.

Saturated fats = bad

Mono & Polyunsaturated fats = good

If you cut out fat from your diet the lining of your cell walls will toughen and stop allowing impurities to escape....you need your mono's and poly's to keep these cells moist.

Lose the fast food, lose the soda incl. diet pepsi. Drink water and eat a lot of fish, shellfish, veggies, rice and cook with a lot of olive oil.

:thumbsup

FlyingIguana 02-27-2003 11:14 AM

whatever you do, make sure it can fit your lifestyle. don't start a routine that you can't keep up, or one thats almost impossible for you to keep going. you'll just get frustrated and quit.

set goals and work towards them. if you don't want to cut pepsi, drink less. that would be a start.

i wouldn't hit the weights for 2 hours a day, i'm assuming you mean mainly cardio work. gradually working up to a couple hours a day might be best.

mule 02-27-2003 11:14 AM

I agree about the diet drinks, but Diet Vanilla Coke is the only thing keeping me from downing about 8 regular vanilla cokes a day now.

I've been sucessful at knocking sodas completely out of my life for periods of time up to 6 months even, but I always go back.

Call it what you will, lack of discipline, addiction etc. But I acknowledge this and have chosen to accept what may be in this time of my life the lesser of two evils.

At this weight level I may not live long enough for aspertame to have any noticeable effect upon me.

Exactly, if you "need" a poopsie, than have NO MORE than 1 *CAN* a day.

Sugars will fuck you up much more than anything else, count ALL the calories you eat everyday, 2000 is "average" so if you eat a lot of fast food right now I would start slow and try to eat 2200 and than work down over a week or so to get to 2000 and than 1800. (Don?t go any lower than that)

No matter what don't shock your system with "all at once" in either eating different or exercise. Work towards it.

20 mins walking fast or jogging on a treadmill will do you MUCH better than 2 hours in the gym just starting out.

Stretch before and after and start slow and work the cardio's than when you have endurance work the muscle.

It also helps to write down EVERYTHING you eat and drink daily and you can get a calorie counter anywhere that will tell you what food has what.

Also write down when and what exercise you do every day.

MOST IMPORTANT is drink LOTS of water all day long.

Good luck

:thumbsup

So, TDF, are you up to the money challenge? I can tell you that I am the WORST diet guy around. Mostly because it doesn't bother me, but obviously it bothers people around me. :)

I'm currently somewhat 140+kgs the same I was a year ago... probably the same as I am a year from now. :) If you were to take the money bet on losing weight with me, I might be able to pull some discipline on my life. The diet would have a real meaning. Health isn't just reason enough. :glugglug

Dunno.
lbs/kg wise no idea whatsoever. :)
$$$ wise 500$? Nothing too big, but something that feels good if you win.

Basher 02-27-2003 11:28 AM

A guy at my work has just started a low carbohydrate diet he can eat as much Protein (steak, fish, chicken), veggies , salad even cheese....apparently you just cut out carbs like bread, potatos, chocholate, ect you cant drink beer but you can have jack daniells or vodka

watch out though he says you can suffer from headaches and dizzyness after the first week

Sounds cool...figure out the particulars maybe we can get a few more involved winner takes all :)

Loser posts naked pics of him or herself...LOL j/k won't do that :)

Lane 02-27-2003 11:29 AM

take less than 2000 calories a day.. dont eat after 7-8pm.. if you get too hungry at night, drink water and go to bed..

try to eat 2 meals a day, and 2 snacks in between.. for each snack, the best thing to do is to eat a fruit like a banana, apple or orange, but just 1 per snacktime..

drink lots of water every day.. try sparkling water instead of pepsi.

i dunno if you can handle 2 hours per day of real work out.. during the workout, do not stop moving, keep your heart rate up the whole time. i think 45 minutes a day would be enough if you do that.

I believe that's the Atkin's diet. I don't have self control to drop out pasta, bread and potatoes. No fucking way.

I wonder if we need a new thread for it.
Also, how do we confirm who's part of the deal, and who's not?
Should the money be paid in advance to a TRUSTED 3rd party?
..or just pay up when the time is come.

You have a valid point.

Think about this. The dying from your weight could be greatly hampered if you have symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis or you're suicidal from the long term effects of aspartame.

Being significantly overweight sets people up for adult onset diabetes..never fun.

Plus, aspartame is now being connected erectile dysfunction. As adult webmasters, there's already enough that interferes with our sex lives. Why add one more ingredient to the mix? :)

Believe it or not, you can still eat fast food. Just don't eat the bread. Wrap those hamburgers in lettuce.

Not heaven. But, maybe a little less than hell.

i also need some motivation for losing weight, besides the fact i'm gonna be a sexy bitch if i do..

As of today, i'm 220lbs (100kg) , and my ideal weight for the current amount of muscle i have would be 185lbs (84kg)..

how much are you planning to lose?

the No-carb diet is not a long term diet either. It's used by weight-watchers to start you off - but you can't be on it for more than 2 weeks at the time. It's really unhealthy longterm for your body....

No good long term solution -however, perhaps a good kick-starter

Well we could all put up a deposit to a trusted 3rd party, maybe $100 each for an entry fee.

If you have 5 wm's involve winner still walks away with $500 regardless if someone wusses out and skips out on their bet.

Plus if they did that we'd know what kind of weasel they are :)

I guess it all boils down to trust, in the end I guess all that matters though is if we're happy with our own results.

TDF 02-27-2003 11:39 AM

Also TDF, TGF, Lane what determines a winner?

Would that be total weight lost? Or based upon a percentage?

Lane 02-27-2003 11:41 AM

for me to lose a pound would be a lot harder than it is for tdf (no offense)...

maybe percentage would be more fair?

anything is possible.

dont let these guys talk you out of going full force into a workout.

Percentage IF Lane participates. If he loses as much weight as I MIGHT he'd be thinner than Calista Flockhart.

100$ to a trusted party sounds good. It's a bit hard to fix this thing up NOW, here, on this thread. Maybe if we could get this shit more organized it could work out. if we can't, I'm still in. :)

LadyMischief 02-27-2003 11:52 AM

Drink LOTS AND LOTS of water. Plain water. Helps your body to flush out toxins and also helps you feel more full. I find drinking water with meals really helps, and drinking it throughout the day just makes you feel better. 8 glasses a day! Good luck :)

http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showth...hreadid=111656

lets discuss it here

Voodoo 02-27-2003 11:54 AM

First, cut down on Soda... Start drinking more water, and taking multi-vitamins.

When you eat, give youself smaller portions, and don't eat the entire meal. Leave a few bites left on the plate. (Only eat to satisfy your hunger, not to get full).

I would only suggest 1 hour of workout, and do a multitude of different exercises, like treadmill, weights etc.. but, focus alot on cardio stuff, to start burning some of the built up calories.

Do this for a couple of weeks, and you'll notice a significant difference. Then start cutting soda and sweets out completely, and drinking more water.

Start eating more vegetables, and fruits, and lean red meat. Try to cut out "grain" from your diet.

Try it out, I bet you will see a big difference in how you feel and how you look.

Also, when you are awake, try to keep your stomach muscles tightened as much as you can. After a while it will become habit, and it won't become a "gut".
:2 cents:

This is an excellent way to kill yourself.

Don't believe this Atkins jackoff - so many people have been stricken ill through this diet it's not even funny.

Carbs are good in moderation, as is meat. No carbs and TONS of meat???? Don't do it, you'll hurt your health.
