Dude, I'm sorry but how can you watch a great show like WW and than watch AI?????

I am watching it since I have a singer in the family.. I don't think last night was fair.. The last wild card should have been Patrick. All of the people who were tied for 2nd place and lost should be the wild card.

West Wing..its the only show that i never miss!:thumbsup

I actually turn off all the phones and take my lunch break at Judge Judy. Everybody knows the drill. You don't talk to mom when JJ is on period unless you want to die.

I agree, because I thought this whole thing was based upon how America voted...the judges picking the wild card contestants at this point seems kind of out of place.

No Doubt, Honeyslut...I couldn't agree with you more. Patrick was original and it would have been great to have a rocker in the mix! It's a shame but I think if he looked better, they would have picked him (at least America did pick him!)

And unfortunately, the judges brought back every 3rd place person from the other groups EXCEPT for Patrick. Rett and I were pissed about that.

And SinEmpire...I'm with you too...Law and Order and West Wing are great network shows...the only other network show I would add to the mix as being top notch is ER.

Personally, I'm psyched about Six Feet Under starting this Sunday night....frickin' great show! HBO comes out with the best ones.

Television shows like AI is poison for the mind and for todays culture.. Read a bloody book, try expanding your mind, not turning it into to a lump of inanimate matter.

I remember during my college stint we studied a research study on the effects of television.. The human brain showed more activity when the person stared at a completely blank wall than it did when the subject was watching television.

I hate TV, and have for years, cut your cable, it will be the best thing you ever do for your life, and your mind..

I watch American Idol....and I too agree Patrick got the shaft.

I read...I write...I even paint at times...sometimes you need mind numbing material to just make you laugh or whatever.

I don't need psuedo-intellectual pornographers trying to teach me about "culture."

I don't think Patrick should have gone any further, in fact I think its good he is off, I think the anxiety/pressure was getting to him. If you watch him, his face is slightly flushed at the beginning of each show and gets progressively worse the whole show, until by the end, his cheeks are very bright red with flushing. It is the progression of the anxiety of the situation and some people just can not handle it. He is one of them. You can see it just by reading his mannerisms too, he was about ready to break when Simon said he was a sheep in wolfs clothing.

I'm not making fun of his face flushing at all, I'm sure he's a nice guy and a decent singer. But I don't think he could hack the pressure and the spotlight being on him.

Plus I do agree with Simon, he was a sheep in wolfs clothing more or less.

I understand where you are coming from, SwordFish...I too noticed that Patrick's cheeks were flushed - but I thought it was endearing.

I just really liked the idea of having a Rock-n-Roller on the show...he was more original than the usual Pop guys, and I respect originality. I'm at least glad that he made it as far as he did.

Patrick was my favourite until his last song. I ended up voting for Joshua mainly because my teen had 3 teen girl friends over and all I hear is "Oh he is soo cute"

Sad to say, but our teens are the onces who are going to buy the CD. If you noticed in a past link I posted a picture of my teen with an American Idol Tour shirt on. Yup got talked into it, whining, begging, mobing, until I stood on the computer and pinged until I got 4 tickets to the sold out ticket last year in Washington DC.

Would the 11-16 year old buy Patrick's CD or Joshua's?

I would put my money on Joshua and so is Simon.

Well if you look, all the idol contestants are quite unpleasant to look at... so thats why the brought back all the old girls that didnt make it to the final 32 originally.

Take a good look.. the final 10 or so is about 8 hot chicks i believe..you cant have an ugly american idol..haha

Their target crowd is young teens.. thats who is buying cd's and going to their lame concerts..

My prediction is the final 2 from the wild card group will be 2 hot chicks and the winner will be a hot chick probably from this group... a good voice doesnt bring ratings..or votes!

They are really just bringing in eye candy and one of them will win.
