Have any of you thought about what you would do if one of the mainstream porn big boys got popped by the Feds on some new obscenity rampage and you knew that you and most of your colleagues were next?

Canada? Mexico? Caribbean? .....Where would you go?

I live outside the US. I'm not an American citizen, and I have no bank accounts in the US.

So while it would suck to see the US Gov crack down on porn, I'm not too worried. The biggest pain in the ass would be if I had to move my hosting, but I already know where I can get excellent hosting in Canada for $0.40/gb so I'm not too concerned.

The most I could see happening anytime soon is the Bush administration decides to bust some sites just to scare the industry into cleaning up its act....and if they decided to bust some sites they probably wouldn't choose mine since I'm not American.

I do 99.9% softcore nudes. Even if a major players gets deemed obscene, I would have quite a bit of time before "naked girls" was cracked-down upon.

Heh, ask that question to a lot of people, and they'll talk about bomb shelters and retreats in northern Idaho.

Unless the Center for Disease Control finally reports that naked girls do in fact have cooties and yes they are contagious. Then you're fucked! :winkwink:

I'm in the same boat with you. I have used softcore pictures for quite a long time now only because they always converted better for me. I would hate to see the feds crack down on sites that cater to the hardcore crowd but if they do I won't be going anywhere. Not for that reason anyway.

I like the feeling of living someplace different. It's sortof like an adventure that's tame enough for me to handle. ;) I am here at University, trying to get a PhD.

Originally, I came here for a University in Scotland. It was an excellent Uni, and I have always had an affinity for Scotland. Now that I am in England, I miss it.

I do mainstream photography for stock as well :) Don't put all your eggs in one basket, for sure :) Honestly though porn has been around for LITERALLY thousands of years, I don't think anyone's going to get rid of it anytime soon :P
