Stand Your Ground Law. Clear Easy one!

Ok, here is my states Stand your Ground Law.

Can someone, (not from Canada) tell me why my state should Not have this?

Here is the very clear "stand your ground law....A person who is not engaged in an unlawful activity and who is attacked in a place where such person has a right to be has NO DUTY TO RETREAT and has the right to stand such person?s ground and use any force which such person would be justified in using.

A person is justified in the use of force against another when and to the extent it appears to such person and such person reasonably believes that such use of force is necessary to defend such person or a third person against such other?s imminent use of unlawful force. A person is justified in the use of deadly force if such person reasonably believes that such use of deadly force is necessary to prevent imminent death or great bodily harm to such person or a third person.....

If you are in your house and someone breaks in, you should be legally able to shoot them dead. You should not be chasing them across your yard shooting them in the back.

The last time I was aware of the California law...you can only use deadly force if confronted with deadly force...even in your own home.

I'm pretty confident that if someone busted my door down in the middle of the night and I shot them that I wouldn't go to jail.
