PayPal fucked up?
Can't pay peoplebecause of this shit.
This is what I get when I try to send $900... Source of Funds Credit Card: £920.72 from Visa XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX PayPal's Exchange Rate as of Feb 27, 2003: 1 Pound Sterling = 0.977500 U.S. Dollars Should be more like 0.63 and £560! What the fuck, eh? :( |
The dollar is coming back?
|
Thinking more about this, shouldn't someone unethical be able to exploit that to make money somehow? Taking pounds and selling them for dollars, then change them back to pounds when they fix it, or something along those lines.

happenes to me to.
they take from 8-13% of your income when withdrawing the money. I know the USD dollar was buying $1.83 australian dollars but their exchange rate was giving me $1.67 Australian dollars after that I stopped using them. |
Their £ to $ rate is always dodgy, but not usually *that* dodgy.
Are you in the UK ldinternet? |
Brits! Play the PayPal currency speculation game
By Drew Cullen Posted: 27/02/2003 at 16:24 GMT Reports are coming in from British users of Paypal who are pointing to its astonishing exchange rate today - £1 for 97c. One reader informed us that he converted US $150 in his account today - he got £145. "I then withdrew it to my uk bank account with no hassles!" http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/6/29508.html |

looks like a big jump, not sure what banks are charging, but i would check into it. could make a decent % with no risk |
seems like they mixed up the pound sterling rate and the euro rate.
|
Btw, does anyone have the PayPal link to the transaction fees?
