as i see affiliate manager's job is to help affiliate and get new affiliates and some other things.
whats to do with the niche ?
at the end of the day its just business. no matter what niche.

It means affiliate manager need to know potencial affiliates in that niche(not just general affiliates or of other niches) so he can bring them to program to promote.
So if you know people like barefootsies,footster,jscott and other you are qualified for this job :)

It also means you need to know and understand the niche so you can help your affiliates make more money.
