From time to time I will watch it when nothing else is on and only if I'm working and it's in the back ground..

I don't watch much TV but Big Bang Theory is the only show I watch (in addition to news and business news)

That chick is hot, but the show is a fucking mess of crap jokes. The new Superman just dumped her ass.

Try watching it without the laugh track. That's when the show is funny to watch. And not the good funny, either.

i like the show..it appeals to the nerd in me.
I thought it would be cool if they made her into a headhunter of super nerds.

I dont care what the GFY jury thinks, i love that show. And it didnt become one of the most successful sitcoms ever because its crap.

And just recently i read an interview with one of the 7 certified most intelligent people on this planet (IQ 170+) who said he watches that cause the people on there are portrayed very realistically

I love the show, Kaley is superb (she needs a good pantsing!) and it is a funny show, always worth a watch.

There was a moment towards the end of my marriage where I took a step back and said out loud around friends 'I married Sheldon'. Instead of arguing back they all agreed. He would even admit it. I'm pretty sure that made me Leonard...yay.

The show is great if you are at all part pf the geek world as it was really the first sitcom to be laughing with us rather than at us. Penny is the outsider/abnormal in the bunch.

We call one of my best friends Sheldon. He will deny it, but then one day I pointed out the episode where Sheldon was upset that his new computer had Windows 7 which was more user friendly that Vista and he didn't like it. My buddy, when in high school (mid 1980's ) had an Apple 2gs. As the first Windows computers started to roll out he said he didn't like windows because it doesn't teach you anything about actually using a computer.

I like it but i watch it only when i encounter it on tv,as they re-run for 1000 times along with 2 and half man.But maybe one day i could get all episodes and watch it regulary.

same style of humor as all the other shitty sitcoms, repackaged with nerd topics. Gave the show multiple tries but it's not funny.

Humor in Seinfeld is still untouched to this day, THAT was a funny show.

the show would be a lot better if they skipped the romances,

especially penny and leonard, which could be the stupidiest relationship on television and the producers have milked that since season 1.

interesting. given leonard & penny were a real couple for 2 years.

ok, you find my opinion interesting that the on-screen relationship sub-plot detracts from the show, but their offscreen relationship is somehow supposed to validate that, got it.

i was referencing you calling a relationship stupid. its ironic given that it really happened. in any case, it is common with male female dynamics that sex comes into play in entertainment. sorry you were not compelled by both the fictional & the real relationship.

why would you apologize for my feeling that sub-plot detracts from the show?

fact is there is no entertaining or compelling romantic interaction between those 2 characters whatsoever. it's nothing but frustration, angst driven by alcohol. it's boring and a waste of the 22 minutes and i can't find 1 single episode where that relationship has added a layer to the show.

a much more entertaining relationship would have been sheldon and penny and just as stupid, but with more opportunity for humor. the interactions between sheldon and penny on the show already are much more interesting, entertaining.

i couldn't give 2 shit what actors do in their spare time, or who they date. that truly has no bearing on anything, galecki is not a phd physicist.

thats not a fact. its your opinion. you are unable to distinguish from the 2. if it was so bad then it would not be the highest rated show on TV. all nerds dream of dating the unachievable woman so it feeds that element of nerd viewers.

that's not even a good putdown, the actual funny part is you are serious.

i happen to own every single episode of the show and usually watch at least 2 episodes every night, along with top gear reruns. i've invested enough in the show to make an opinion and state that. if you get your pantie in a knot over that, you might want to smoke a bowl and chill out.
