North Korea Losing Attention
Seems to me a lot of attention is being given to Iraq, which it should - but Noth Korea is losing almost all of the international community's attention (desperately trying to get it back too).
From CBS News: "North Korea has withdrawn from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, expelled International Atomic Energy Agency monitors and removed the IAEA monitoring equipment. It also has initiated a uranium-based bomb program in violation of its international commitments. " That on top of reactiving it's nuclear reactor seems to be of more seriousness than "the possibility of WMD in Iraq" (even more so since UN inspection teams have found nothing). http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2003/...in541818.shtml |
NK has dog squat and everyone knows they are a total joke.
Saddam on the other hand is no joke and we have a great opportunity to grab trillions of dollars of oil reserves for only a hundred Bil or so. That's a good investment. Which hand would you play? |

Secondly, THE CONFLICT IN THE MIDDLE EAST IS NOT ABOUT OIL. IT IS ABOUT REMOVING A BAD DICTATOR WHO IS MAKING BAD DECISIONS AND PUTTING IN A NEW FORM OF GOVERNMENT, THEN LEAVING THE COUNTRY. |

Iraq is not about oil? You can't be that blind. Wake up and smell the crude. 300 Billion Barrels x $35/Barrel = $10 TRILLION DOLLARS OF WEALTH. Saddam's wealth even makes Bill Gates look like a poor fucker. |

What we are trying to do with Iraq is prevent the same shit that's happening now in North Korea from happening there. N. Korea will be dealth with I'm sure. And I'm sure we have a close eye on them. But at the same token, there is a threat that the SAME exact scenerio that got N. Korea to this point is happening right now in Iraq. It must be stopped. |
