Saw it today, good graphics, has the guy from Sons of Anarchy in the lead role.

If you love a good killing large aliens movie, you'll like it, story kinda suffered.

Besides the out-of-place Asian girl all the male lead characters looked the same. Was hard to tell who was alive or dead.

Terrible plot development. When the sword came out and canon & missiles thought, "where the fuck were those weapons the ENTIRE time?" And why there was zero support besides punching giant monsters in the face.

Dammit, was all set to go see it at the Vmax in 3D... kinda reluctant with those reviews.

Drop some acid about 30 minutes before the movie starts...really helps that pathetic piece of trash to be far out man!

Why people watch movies like this one

Who expected much of a story beyond "giant robots punching giant monsters"? If you went in wanting deep character development then you ask too much. There were a couple of flaws in the movie, but so far it is the best "Mecha" type movie I have seen.

It's a kids movie. My nephew fucking loved it, it was the best movie ever (hes 11).

There wasn't much in it for my adult side, but my inner 11 year old boy loved it.

The effects were beyond top notch.

Yeah seeing a lot of brothers working together then having an Asian girl work well with a white dude was weird. Then there was the monsters going after the geek that was really weird.
But still, the effects were really good and it ended up being entertaining to a point, next weekend, going to see Despicable Me 2, I think that will be a better movie.

Looks fun, but I'll probably watch it at home in a few months.

I had high hopes, kids loved it. But, when the highest tech fighters were shooting guns at it, then flying into it kamikaze style, it kinda lost me.

Growing old fucking sucks balls. Either that, or gimme some more believable fantasy shit!
