SignBucks.....
I find many sponsors that have decided to drop their affiliate program, changed from CCBill to Zombaio or other, sites are gone...etc
And why have latex in BDSM when it should be in fetishes? How can we help you flag those? |
That's the state of the industry. It's really sad.
This used to be a great page to keep track but I think they got tired of having to keep up with it. http://www.signbucks.com/news/programs-changes so now you have to use http://www.signbucks.com/comments/list If you see something wrong I think the idea is you are supposed to make a comment about it. |
yep.
we have 15k active paysites over almost 4k active programs. it's hard to track all what's happening and we completely rely on your feedback via comments. please comment every time you find something isn't right with any paysite or program we did major niches revision so latex got into bdsm since most of latex site feature bondage in one or other way. there's a place at signbucks to discuss this and i would greatly discuss what's the best place for latex niche. |

i guess there's a such pattern that 30% of newly opened programs are going to die in the next 6 months. this industry needs some more enthusiasm and get together to change things in a good way |

- 30 days notice of any link code changes - 30 days minimum notice of any PPS program closure - 60 days minimum notice of any revshare program closure - commitment to try to remove pirated content from unauthorized sources - commitment to provide affiliates the same length promo clips and material as they provide tubes - commitment to not be late by more than 7 days on any payment and to provide public notice ASAP when this is likely to be broken. - To have a no leak policy on all affiliate landing pages - To maintain a reasonable minimum payout amount such as $50 or $100. - To respond to all affiliate inquiries within 72 hours. - To credit affiliates for all processors available on the affiliate tour and to make reasonably sure returning affiliate traffic goes to a processor for which the affiliate receives credit. In return affiliates would promise to try to use these sponsors first. It would make sense anyway as these are the only sponsors who tend to convert anymore and would be less risk than the others. |

A tale of two sponsors here who will remain nameless. I will neither confirm or deny any guesses. :) Sponsor 1- Niche content. Good person for the owner. Seemed to have an extensive tube campaign where they posted content like crazy on the tubes. A tube site is #1 for their paysite name, they are second. The rest of the 1st page is almost all tubes. The first tube site link has 20+ pages of 5 minute+ videos. For affiliate promo content they have maybe 25 three minute video trailers available. At least publicly. At one point on the revshare program the owner had prechecked cross sales with another program near the same niche. They are out of business now. I never did too much with them. The cross sale turned me off and the conversions were nothing special. Sponsor 2- Niche content, don't know the owner well but they have been very fair with affiliates, around for a long time, hired someone full time at one point to help take down pirate content. They are #1 for their paysite name and 7/9 of the other 1st page results on Google are things like their twitter feed or affiliate sites (not big tubes). It's very difficult to find their stuff on tubes or pirate forums because they take it down as soon as they see it. Even promos are somewhat scarce on the big tubes. for instance you get "no results" when typing their paysite name into pornhub. For affiliate content they provided over 200 videos over the years, mostly just 30 seconds. Now they provide maybe 30 hosted FLVs about 2 minutes in length. The owner posted here about doing over $1 million in sales recently one year and I think they said they were aiming for $2 million the next year. They also had a C4S store too to be fair. A third program posted here once about making $33K or so over four years from posting at XHamster from something like 50 million video views. Well I've recently sent this program (sponsor 2) more sales than that from just a couple legal tubes, TGPs, blogs and well placed links in ONE YEAR. I consider myself to be rather mid-sized. It's just that I converted the traffic better and didn't send crap or sacrifice 400,000 video views per sale. This sponsor is one of few who still converts for me to this day where most of the others are total crap. I could have made a lot more money for Sponsor 1 if they took the route of sponsor 2 more. Multiply it by several hundred serious affiliates and the results are big. |
i know many sponsors...
they simply don't give a thing on what's going on. they just think: i shoot porn, i should get rich in a days, send me your traffic. later they realize they can't sell like expected, it's not a reason for rational thinking for them. 99.5% of sponsors won't be following any other rules than billing rules. the same mess with 'affiliate'. actually there're very few affiliates left with solid earnings. Two months later "We're switching to Epoch today! Please change all link codes." Six months later you read about the program being sold for $500. |
