It is a simple misunderstanding. Teacher didn't say he couldn't drink water, just to be considerate of other children observing a Ramadan fast. The teacher could have been clearer of course, but I bet the kid also wasn't refused a drink with his school lunch either so it's a nonsense article, escalated out of proportion by people who didn't read it.

Your issue with that is what? It was explained to the kid. He misunderstood it. The kid lives in the UK so what is the hottest day of the year 22 c? When I was a kid, no one drank in class.

When I was at school there were water fountains but 10 years later when my brother was they seemed to have got rid of them. Reason seemed to be hygiene related.

If I moved to another country I would do my best to blend right in.

My view is that if you go to another country you have to live by that country's rules and customs.

I moved from Denmark and live in a 3rd world country but I don't expect the people here to adapt to me, I have to adapt to them. I try to learn the language and culture and behave ion every way respectfull to the local customs because I am a guest here. I try to behave the same way I would expect people coming to my country to behave.

Europe is so fucked up when it comes to political correctness when it comes to immigrants and I don't see it getting better. Why should I in MY country have to adapt to people who for 90 percent is there by choice.
