yes, that two have sites have mobile redirect via .htaccess but I see that some other sites with some redirects not having drops, so I'm pretty sure it's not problem.

all sites have popunder, so that also can't be problem.

On both sites, and on one site before this, was increase of 500% or more of SE traffic in last 7 days and after that going huge drop, and that is only pattern for all 3 sites.

wocnom 07-09-2013 06:25 AM

Anyone else having drop today?

3xmedia 07-17-2013 07:41 AM

simoviciflorin 07-18-2013 07:24 AM

one of mi sites lost 50% of the traffic ..all the keywords wen in 6-7 page from google serp.. im not sure whats happening.. the other sites are pretty stable ..on this site I bought some hard link 2 weeks ago..mai this be the reason?

fatfoo 07-18-2013 07:32 AM

Drops of traffic are unfortunate for webmasters. Google traffic seems unpredictable. Check the keywords that get you traffic. Comparing your sites to other sites could help. You could also worry about overspending, if you are buying Google traffic.

robwod 07-18-2013 08:30 AM

We're experiencing gains as well with both Google (12%) and Yahoo/Bing (18%).

What I find happening a lot of times is that every time Google makes an algorithmic change, some people lose their minds and scramble to make changes -- often times overreacting and potentially doing more harm to their sites than if they just left it alone and focused on building it's content.

In many cases, things usually settle down once all the indexes, data centers, etc merge and things go back to normal.

Personally, I think people spend far too much time stressing over stats and watching Google than actually building up their sites. A more productive use of time would be in fleshing out their own sites and build content that caters to their target demographic sufficient to keep their users engaged for extended periods of time. If the focus is on content and surfer engagement, then picking up a few links here and there will only help, not hurt. Generally speaking, it's when you have really "thin" sites that you likely need to react every time there is an update.

Just my $0.02

I agree. I've been yo-yoing with google for years now. Sometimes I'd get a big drop and then 4 months later it would pick up and then it would go down even further than before.

This last update hit me hard too and I'm going to focus on building my site. I've wasted many hours chasing google when I shouldn't have. The only reason to make big changes is if you made big changes just before you experienced a traffic drop like picking up too many backlinks at once or changing your htaccess etc...

Being something google hates (affiliates) doesn't help either but, like the tubes, if you keep your surfer on your site for long periods then google with have no choice (because of it's algo) but to give you some love.

Glad you are back! :thumbsup

I used to get 15k daily from Google. It dropped to only 3k and it's been like this for two days.

Damn I hope my princess will be able to recover :(

Seeing some brutal results with this new update... some model name searches lead to 1st pages with 6+ links to piratebay.... also seeing freeones off the front page for many searches which I've never seen before.

We had 50% drop 12 days ago. Next drop was like 3 days ago - 90% of the rest. We have like 1/11 of SE traffic from google now (compare to traffic before first drop (10 days ago)).

We was on first page, first-second line in the ggl search result for our "domain keyword". We are somewhere on the page 7 now.

adult-help 07-19-2013 02:17 AM

yep, for 2 days 1 of my sites got big drop...

I used mobile redirect script for maybe 10 days - who knows if google picked this up..anyone with big drop using or added mobile redirects?

We start using mobile redirect a week before first drop.

This has nothing to do with mobile redirects ... :2 cents:

adult-help 07-19-2013 08:35 AM

just noticed one of my old abandoned sites with just some articles about some widgets got so boost in SEs from google. Google doesnt really know what the want anymore or what they are doing..too random and unpredictable results of their algo tweaks..

Agreed. Seeing a few EXTREMELY thin sites at the top of some pretty good terms. It's pretty sad.

Jel 07-19-2013 09:03 AM

G got so worried about affiliates, and 'thin' sites (even though by the very nature of what thin affiliate sites are, and the backlinking work to rank for those terms, they are actually 100% bang on what the surfer is looking for, just 1 click further away), that they tweaked so much to make sure what *they* think should be ranked (ie anything but affiliate sites, when it comes to digital content) would be. But just like pretty much every single 'hey it's the new and improved recipe!' that ever happened, things taste shittier than ever, from every single angle.

Nurgle 07-22-2013 06:21 AM

seeing drops in google a lot lately, fun to be had fighting the beast

So much for the importance of being the source of the content.

Robbie 07-22-2013 10:27 AM

Freeones has always had a number 2 or 3 ranking for "Claudia Marie" on the first page...I see today that they are buried back on page 3 now. So yeah, Google is definitely affecting some people.

wocnom 07-26-2013 02:51 PM

Well, we are experiencing mass drop pages from google index last 4 days after all.
And we thought that can`t be worse :)

PornDude 07-26-2013 03:01 PM

Did anybody recover yet? :D

nexcom28 07-26-2013 03:02 PM

Yeah so am I dropped 80% of my traffic in the last few months. Getting tired of it now.

Diomed 07-26-2013 03:22 PM

I've got quality sites with ZERO backlinks placing first page when they never did before.

But I repeat, quality sites with unique content.

I'm loving the new updates.. never got jack shit headway in SEO before.. always purchased traffic.. so it's a nice change of pace.

Zeiss 07-26-2013 03:31 PM

It's all about the ups and downs, boys and girls! :1orglaugh

InfoGuy 07-29-2013 04:37 AM

Interesting, it seems like most of the big tubes have also lost traffic in the last 2 weeks. Alexa charts show sharp drops.
