I've always thought of the pix should lead up to the site yer selling.
If it looks like an unfinished series, the surfer will usually assume they can see more at the pay site.
Like if it's hardcore series content, I think it's good to show the beggining of the series up until the HC is going to get going, then hopefully that'll get the surfer into trying to find "the ending".
Same goes with solo series, if the gallery looks like a lead-in to something more, that'll work best. (In my opinion)

Censoring the "Hot Spot" has always worked for me. If the horny surfer doesn't like my page, he'll just close it and go to another. when things are brand new or new things or added to it thats what makes people buy,
