Paging All Russians...
So, Brian is on his way to Saint Petersburg - He never brings me stuff back because he doesn't know what I want - I'm not sure what I want either...
What should I ask for? - I'm not sure if he can bring much Vodka back and I am not a big fan of caviar - He has loads of space as he takes stuff over for his wife and its all empty space on the way back - What's a bargain over there that I would like?.... |
Actually nowadays it's very hard to bring something special from almost anywhere, because the same things are available almost everywhere. Personally I never know what should I bring as souvenirs when I'm visiting the EU countries or the USA. I just don't see there anything that I can't buy here.
Some people do trips to the States or EU (say to Millan) only to buy the things (e.g. electronics and clothes) at a cheaper price. But I don't think that's your case. Yeah, in Spb vodka is cheaper than in your country, but as far as I remember, the one can't bring more than two bottles over the customs. So when I'm visiting other countries I buy only fridge magnets and ask my buddies to bring me the same from their own trips :) |

I really don't know what he can find is Spb and can't in the UK. Perhaps only those classic souvenirs like matreshka or a small bronze bust of Lenin, but it's too vulgar IMHO.
Spb and Moscow are places were you can have a lot of fun, but I doubt it's something you can bring away. Only as some good memories. |
