T1 connection in So Cal
Im sick of DSL. I want to install a T1 or even fractional in my office. Anyone know who I should talk to and how much im looking at spending? I was quoted 599/mo for full T1 from bandwidth.com but im thinking I can find cheaper elsewhere.
Thanks in advance~! |
Do what i did , tap into the T1 from the office next door. Total cost $0 :Graucho

you guys are lucky. no buildings around mine have t1's. that i know of.... maybe i will walk over to getboards.com and see if they got one... by the speed of their site, I would almost believe they are hosting it there!! heh.

T1 is expensive, it's only worth it if you're running a server. But then again, what can you do with only 1.5mbit?
In practice that will pull about 180KB/s (1500 kilobits / 8 = 187 kilobytes), up- and downstream. In theory it can transfer 480gb/month, but in practice you can probably squeeze 350gb/mo max out of it, not to mention box will be slow as hell then. |
