Did Bing/Yahoo ban adult ads?

There are no adult ads on any keywords on Bing and Yahoo. This has been since yesterday. Anyone know anything about this?? This is for the PPC paid listings, the organic listings seem the same

yup, looks like they did... and of course with no warning, no email, etc :-/

This seems like big news. I checked a few and no ads.

Spoke to Bing Ads

They are looking into - may have been an editorial change - surprised this isn't bigger news. One more nail in the coffin for adult advertisers.

Bing + Yahoo at same time? And no any announcement or article about it yet?
This is quite big, I guess there should be some press covering this soon...

By the way Facebook from 28 June:
http://newsroom.fb.com/News/658/A-Ne...ges-and-Groups

"A New Review Policy For Pages and Groups"
For example, we will now seek to restrict ads from appearing next to Pages and Groups that contain any violent, graphic or sexual content (content that does not violate our community standards). Prior to this change, a Page selling adult products was eligible to have ads appear on its right-hand side; now there will not be ads displayed next to this type of content.

And google banned adult on blogger...

Next will be google and then the ISP's will block porn. I know they have been having meetings over here in the UK with google, facebook bing ect to try and get porn blocked on the search engines and ISP's

Its like Joe said in another thread about blocking porn in seacrh engines and ISP's "this is how it starts"

lezinterracial 07-01-2013 03:15 PM

I type in "porn" and get no ads. I type in "sex videos", I get deviltube and raunchygfs.

Maybe adult advertisers are giving up on Bing?

And then adult websites will only be allowed to be on a .xxx and the only search engine that will show adult content will be search.xxx.

That would be good so I have an use for the few xxx expensive domains I got. But isnot going to happen :)

Would be ironic if Bing banned adult ads, considering they run a tube site, complete with embedded adult videos, previews, adult category links, related adult searches...
