Creating your own database/interface to a plugin provider
What do you guys? thing of the idea of being able to get all the information you need to create your own database driven content members area?
What if you could use this with your own interface, which you design and host yourself and use the database to generate the code to suck down to start up the video feed. Any feedback on this, positive or negative is welcomed. |
Sounds like you just want to build a front-end that uses a template engine. You could still host it on your site and give the customer access to modify the template as needed. Much easier then "sucking" the data.

Not at all.. Granted a 'template' might be a little easier but with this kind of setup it leaves all the design options completely open to the designer. With a template you would be limited but with this you can do basically whatever you want and create a content system around, make it searchable, you could index the clips iin your database. Stuff like this a template driven interface cannot provide. Plus i dont want to be bothered with updating the templates. |
