Sungha Jung is a great acoustic player who has covered a bunch of songs. Don't really have a favorite though.

dyna mo 06-29-2013 08:33 AM

dude is shreadding it at 2+ in on that slayer track! i'm always impressed with the guitar pickers like that, so technical, it's amazing enough to play alone let alone accompanying voice.

dyna mo 06-29-2013 08:35 AM

her voice is hooooooooooootttttttttttttttttttttt

dyna mo 06-29-2013 08:48 AM

Ukulele cover of Sloppy Seconds "Why Don't Lesbians Love Me?"

crockett 06-30-2013 08:35 AM

I can't figure out how to copy YouTube links with my phone, but the cover of outkast's Hey Yea by Obadiah Parker is one of the most original and well done covers I've seen.

Someone should search it and post it up for me. 8)

fuzebox 06-30-2013 07:53 PM

To be fair Killing in the Name is a pretty easy song :) I like the guy's style though.

adult-help 06-30-2013 07:57 PM

I think Michael Hedges did fantastic cover of my favorite Beatles song. I like when artists make their own version of the song, not just note by note cover with different instrument..

none of these songs are classical gas. just normal folk singing and playing guitar. i'm pretty obsessed with them these days, i find them inspirational. except for all the messy rooms, clean your room in-between practice sessions why don't yah! :1orglaugh

the looping tracks are super fun!

i love this girl! she's loopy!

Paul 07-02-2013 09:50 PM

This guy from the UK has some really good acoustic covers

The duet Noah did with Christina Grimmie is excellent too! She has some great stuff on her channel too

Jim_Gunn 07-03-2013 12:26 AM

Another great cover- Ryan Adams does a unique acoustic version of my favorite musician, alt-rock guitar hero Bob Mould's (formerly of Husker Du & Sugar) "Black Sheets of Rain".

dyna mo 07-03-2013 08:54 AM

TBH it really annoys me that millions of people watch mind numbingly boring shows like X Factor each week when there is a ridiculous amount of talent on YouTube and without the constant sob stories and bullshit drama.

I'm so impressed by the size of the fan bases a lot of these guys have online through Youtube, Facebook, Twitter etc

A few people on here could learn a thing or two about how these people build their fanbase :pimp

Sungha Jung has been recognized by the Korean music industry at large. I believe he sat in with the group 2NE1 and recorded a track after they saw his cover on the tube.
