What do people think about this?

In Whistler this weekend is Toughmudder....19,000 participants x $100 apprx. per person
=$1.9 million event is sold out.
In September we have a cycling Grand Fondo that has 9,000 people x $300 = $2.7 million.

There are tons of these mass participation events from sports to hobbies(example larping, cosplay)

Why is everybody scrapping over crumbs on the internet...the gold rush was over years ago?
I dont see it getting easier either?
Where do you see opportunity?

My top affiliate last month made tens of thousands of dollars. The gold rush isn't over, it's just changed.

I think it's because there is too much cheapo content. The industry needs to rebalance itself. No one is going to pay for shit they can shoot themselves with a crackhead.

I also think a lot of it has to do with attitudes toward our friends - women - in the porn industry. They are half the planet and are starting to make more money than men - but most in the porn industry are basement dwellers who pray on retarded girls - that market won't pay for that shit.

There's more to event planning than meets the eye, its not just venue, speakers, and performers ;)

budget is a real issue.... more models than ever, less sites, making less money and the price of models is skyrocketing :2 cents:

So what are the odds that this top level "affiliate" isn't a pirate tube?

I have a project grossing 5 figures monthly, pure affiliate sales, that I started working on last May. You know what it took to accomplish? Dedication and hard work. No theft, no piracy and nothing "full length".

You're on here crying time and time again but truth is you're just another loser left eating the dust of those willing to work hard and figure out a system to succeed in current times. You have no one to blame but yourself.

You mean affiliate of the program YOU WORK FOR?

96ukssob 06-23-2013 09:42 AM

I was at the Tough Mudder in Philly a few weeks ago. Easy to see how they could have spent over $1mm between staff and organization.

I read the CEO of that "non-profit" has a salary of $400,000 a year.

Within the next few years, there will be tons of these from copy cats trying to make a buck. At the end of the day, it's making a lot of us get into shape, so it's kind of a good thing IMO

From an old company I was doing some consulting work with, they sent me a MacBook Pro. After the contract was up, I had to send it back and they asked me "why did you out electrical tape over the webcam?" LOL, I knew how they operated
