"Don't worry sweetie. Just let him finish and he'll fall asleep. Would you like a pillow? Some peanuts?" - Flight attendant.

People are so uptight these days lol.

Rochard 06-21-2013 08:13 AM

I'm confused. What did the airline do wrong? Did they catch him masturbating? Seems not. Did anyone else see this? Seems not. If it was such a problem, why didn't she move?

Because she would have had less chance of getting a claim... :2 cents:

"And Sir, please tell us what you were thinking of while masturbating on the airplane."

JP-pornshooter 06-21-2013 10:13 AM

one word, well perhaps two:
attorney Gloria Allred

Sarah_Jayne 06-21-2013 10:29 AM

How would you react if your teenage daughter - chubby or not,as if that matters - was on a flight alone and the guy across from her was jerking off to her, she told the crew and they did nothing about it? That's what I thought.

Suing? Maybe a bit much as the guy was convicted and is being punished but the lack of action of a flight attendant to protect a minor, deserves to be highlighted.

Did you watch the clip? She asked to be moved and they told her they couldn't. Amazing responses by grown men in regards to unwanted sexual attention towards a minor. Apparently, he was convicted in relation to his conduct so you would imagine there was a witness or proof of some kind.

Jamie Gardner 06-21-2013 11:03 AM

Gloria Allred is representing her, the Al Sharpton for women. The teen sure got someone famous to defend her.

I did see the clip. What I didn't see in the clip was her saying the airline saw anything offensive. Seems that out of an airplane full of people, the only person who saw anything or complained was her. I find that odd. I mean, there was nine fucking people in her row and the only one who saw anything was her?

If this was so offensive to her, why didn't she move?

And since when is the airline responsible for the actions of their passengers? I mean, should the airplane start screening people in advance for being perverts or sex crimes, assaults, or fraud? If I walk into the local super market and start masturbating, is the super market responsable for my actions? I mean, is their staff trained to handle situations? Do they come with rubber gloves and physically remove me from the premises? Is the super market or the airlines responsable if they don't see a crime being committed?

A crime was committed, the person arrested, end of story. Now they are just chasing the money.

I beg you, please do not masturbate in my mayonnaise.

Once again - she asked to be moved or at least that is what was said. How do you know she is the only one that saw anything? He was convicted so that would suggest somebody else saw something or he confessed.

As I said, a lawsuit is maybe over the top but I have no problem with her highlighting the lack of action of the crew to at least move her.

Really, if a guy was jerking off to your underage daughter and she asked an adult to help her and they didn't, how would you handle that situation? According to other threads on this board, most guys here would lock and load on the guy. So, I really don't get why she is the bad person in this situation.

Honestly, you are even mildly suggesting that such unwanted conduct towards anybody much less somebody underage is in anyway okay? No wonder people hate us.

Spunky 06-21-2013 12:03 PM

But why do we hold the airline liable for this?

According to the video, the airline said there was "no other seats open". What the fuck are they supposed to do? Move her and the seven other people in her to where? The bathroom? Move him where - next to someone else?

She says he was wanking off, the stewardess looks over and sees nothing out of the ordinary, can't move her anywhere, can't move him...

What was the airline supposed to do? Tie him up and restrain him for wanking off? Move him to the bathroom so he can finish himself off? Push him off the airplane? I'm not saying what he did was proper; It wasn't and he's in jail. I just fail to see how the airline is at fault here. According to the video, she is the only one who saw him doing this - The only thing they can do is report it to the police when they land, which they did.

From a different article about this case:

"Later during the flight, the plaintiff got up to use the restroom. On the way to the restroom, the plaintiff passed by the same flight attendant to whom she had complained, and the flight attendant asked if the perpetrator was still exposing himself. The plaintiff said that he was. The flight attendant then stated that the perpetrator's conduct was 'disgusting,' but took no other action. In particular, the flight attendant and/or crew took no action to relocate the plaintiff, to prevent the perpetrator from exposing himself or masturbating, or to report the offensive conduct to the flight deck," the complaint states."

Since he's been criminally found guilty and convicted she can now sue for damages with a very good chance of winning. Good for her! Flight attendants have gone down the tubes the last 10 years. Now airlines hire the cheapest, laziest most passive aggressive creatures known to mankind.

Not surprised he was wanking if that was the case.

United flight attendants are the worse. Bunch of arrogant 60 year old grandma perfume smelling hags that act like they're doing you a favor by letting you sit on the damn plane.

No seats in that class. If a child/teenager is in that situation stick her in the empty seat in a higher class.

They land planes for people making questionable jokes. People on this board have been denied the right to board a flight because of the text on their t-shirt. They arrest people off planes for inappropriate conduct relating to drink. At the very least, the attendant should have informed the pilot who could make the decision to let authorities on the ground know so they could meet the plane. Instead they allowed the crime to continue.

I think perhaps the disconnected between us is that you aren't seeing that I said I was unsure about the lawsuit. However, that doesn't mean the staff of that airline should not be called on their inaction.

If a flight attendant knew that a minor was being harassed in that way and did nothing at all then at the very least the airline should fire him. What if that guy had been sitting directly next to her rather than across the aisle and he touched her but the attendant didn't see it? Does it still become okay for him to do nothing?

Not sure about you but my parents raised me with the notion that if somebody touched me or otherwise was (for lack of a better term) lewd towards me that I could tell an adult and they would believe me. This girl had that proven wrong. So, whether the airline should be sued or are at direct fault that is one thing but she was failed by an adult when she asked for protection. That adult deserves to be called out on his failure.

I agree about that particular lawyer. She pops up time and time again and makes it hard to take cases seriously but keep in mind that this is still a young woman. It would likely be fairly easy to get her fired up and agree to bringing the case all for the agenda of the lawyer.

I just hate the way this girl is being talked about from her appearance somehow mattering to asinine comments that she shouldn't have looked. Fairly shameful.

It's just funny to me when she is talking about it because she is chubby. Like how Chris Farley or John candy or Melissa McCarthy are extra funny because they are fluffy. Can't help what makes me laugh. I guess I'm sick. I agree tho, if it was my kid, I'd be livid.

Honestly, that is just a detail other than I wouldn't want other girls to think that if they are put in similar situations it is less of a big deal because they aren't slim. Pretty sure if you had a chubby daughter you would be just as livid. The larger issue is the inaction.

The airline could have shot this guy in the back of the head half way through the flight and tossed him out of the plane, and it still wouldn't change the fact that this girl saw a grown man masturbate. Nothing the airline could have done would change the fact that she still saw what she saw.

She's suing the airline for what? Because they failed to move her after she saw him jerking off?

They are going for the money.

Sarah_Jayne 06-21-2013 04:25 PM

May your daughter never feel the discomfort that comes with such behavior directed towards her. It isn't the visual it is the feeling of threatened. safety. Maybe you have to have been a female that age to understand what she may have been feeling. I honestly don't know but I'll just leave it because I'm never going to understand defending not protecting a child who asks for your help.
