Whois entries

When do domain whois entries expire from being seen in search engines? I have an expired domain displaying my personal info. :Oh crap

Probably won't disappear until somebody else registers the domain or you renew it and add privacy. Even then the information may still appear cached somewhere.

If the whois records are updated then some sites are still using older records/dumps.
contact the site owners and tell them to update the record/dump, or you can find button of their site to get updated results, once you get updated results, it will take few weeks for Google to crawl and index it.
if site owner doesn't respond contact hosting.
good luck

Often those sites don't update and the info is stuck... Some of them have a form to remove. It won't go away when the domain expires, that much is for sure.

The domain expired about 2 weeks ago. Just remember I had the same problem with a previous domain but these whois sites stopped listing it after like 2-3 months.

In some cases, never. They are doing it on purpose. For instance with whoismind where they are charging something like $30 per year, per domain to have the information removed. http://www.ripoffreport.com/r/wwwwho...ling-p-1040367 It's like the mugshot removal industry where they put up mugshots to embarrass people and then they charge $100 to remove it.

If you have access to certain online tools you can see any domain's full history.

This information never goes away. It's always available to users of these tools.
