hit me up .. or drop some real live contact where i aint talking on the phone .. done that too much in the last two days .

this is the problem

I imagine I aint the richest guy on this board by anymeans.
I am sure I dont spend the most paypal cash .. so why do they keep locking my account .. this is not for complaints,, but for " over useage" " suspicious spending " which we verify everytime.

this is safety and I understand that .. but this is too much .

this is happening almost once a week I have to call and verify 50 purchaces.. etc etc ..
nicest part is this seems to happen at shitty times .. like 3 am when withdrawing cash to pay a taxi .

anyone had this problem ? and know how to stop it .

i'm assuming you're in Canada?

every second transaction, they'd block my card. they'd block it after a $20 cdn withdrawal.

i stopped using the card.

I used the card like crazy back then.. from Canada... and I am talking about.. 2K+ a week.. hmmm.. never had problems with it.. and when I did have one.. one time... their support guys fixed it right away!

I use my mastercard every 2 days or so and never had problems, I'm in canada too

I love PayPal.. hehehe...

PayPal blows when it comes to using the card (blocked me after my 1st transaction "because it hadn't been used before so we weren't sure it was you") AND when it comes to IPN membership payments. Their guys don't even know what an affiliate program IS, let alone how to track one etc. etc.

I find that PayPal is very useful to use to pay out.

I've never used it to accept payments though.

Paypal has frozen my account twice for suspicious spending - and both times it was when i bought some merchandise, gas for the car, food for the tummy, and then I went to the atm and took out money.

I dont want you to unlock my shit .. I want you to stop locking my shit .

seriously paypal has a great program .. I live and die with my paypal account .. but they have to get shit together.

erm... you do know that the 'paypal representative' is just asking for your credit card # as a joke, right?

Go through the 402 number or PayPal site only, or be prepared for a high credit card bill for months to come.

Paypal seems to lock alot of peoples accounts for no reason.

why should they have too? everything you need for an affiliate program with paypal is available to you if you know what you are doing. do you expect everything to just be handed to you on a silver platter?

nope. i dont think they keep track of who is using paypal for adult sites and who isnt. i certainly wouldnt go out of my way to ask them about it.

I think I am one of like six people on the internet they have done this to. They have sort of indicated that I could close the current account and open a new one and just not tell them, but I'd hate to have more $$ frozen. Sigh.

Their policy is $1500 in Fees that Mastercard and Visa charge them for adult sites. Some paypal ppl know this, some don't. :) Aint that fun! :)

I've heard you say this a few times now, and of course hear it from other people here too. Have you or anyone else here personally been charged the $1500.00 or is it just a rumor? Everyone keeps saying there's a charge but it's always based on second hand knowledge. Who here has actually had to pay it?

If you have Tom's (VA2K) ICQ give him a shout. He had lots of fun and games regarding the money. It is VERY real but only a small amount of the staff actually know about it (work that out if you can). Like I say though if you want it first hand then he's a good start.

Why dont you just have paypal feed into your normal bank account and just get an everyday debit card?

I have not paid it, but paypal froze my account which was being used for adult transactions. They also did a ten percent reserve and a higher % than standard. They never sent me a bill for the $1,500, but they told me that to unfreeze my account I could either pay the $1,500 they had never billed or I could sign something swearing I would not use paypal for any adult transactions. Never mind that they solicited me at InterNext and that the only purpose of that account was for adult transaction. Not an urban legend at all.

5-7 business days before we can take the money out if we did it this way.
