Woopra Vs. Google Analytics?
 

Anyone here using Woopra? If so, do you like it better than Google Analytics? If so, why?

So far, I absolutely love the notifications feature. You can setup to receive a push notification to your iOS device or Android device, or by email of any statistic you could imagine. For example, "On visit from Nigeria, push notification of 'You have a visitor from Nigeria to GFY.com'". Any thoughts?

google will always be better, but they are good, as well as kissmetrics

Altough google is good, they do miss some features (for example outlinks: i would like to know where my visitor went after he/she visited my site).

You can achieve this effect by changing the javascript on the top of your site, but it's not easy and not perfect either...

I tried woopra in the past, but they had a limit on the ammount of hits they would track in the free version, and i always exceeded the ammount of free counts, so i got no exact statistics... Other than that, i tought it was fantastic!

Since we're in this discussion, i really like piwik and owa, but since they have to be hosted on your own server, i'm always afraid they will slow things down...
On the other hand: if you have access to the raw server logs, sawmill is a great tool, and it avoids all overhead you create by loading statistic tools in your head section...

I've looked into both OWA and Piwik and neither seem to offer the notifications feature that I'm looking for. Thus far, woopra has been the only one to support this. As far as load on the server from hosting it myself, this is of little concern. I have a rock solid dedicated machine that I can delegate to host just this.

will try woopra.. one that that i miss at google analytics is "last visitors" - to show me the last 100 visitors that came to my site and how they found me..

I've looked at a couple.

Kissmetrics seems pricey and more e-commerce-y which isn't useful to me.

Google Analytics seems to have the greatest depth but it has gotten more complicated over the years. I feel that I need to really dig in and spend a lot of time reformulating the reports to be more relevant. I currently use GA as it doesn't produce much overhead for my site - actually all Google libraries I use are very fast.

Have a Mint (Mint) is supposedly very good and they have been around for a while, but I have never used them. I wanted to a couple years ago but I didn't want to spend the money.

I just looked at Woopra and I like the Bootstrappy design. I feel like it could be a nice pilot, but for those of us running high-traffic resources, we can easily burn through our limits.

Speaking of limits, I believe Google charges over $100k a year for GA Premium if you go over their 500k pageview limit a month. I'm not there yet but I feel like GA may not be the greatest vertical if I need to increase my capacity and lose all my historical data. :\
