    Hey everyone, just letting you know that some piece of shit is emailing a lot of people from here pretending to be me offering a blog manual in PDF format for $80.

                                      And of course if you're pulling in $15k/month with something the first thing you do is try to tell as many people as possible for an extra $80.

                                                      One guy we build a site for to deal with social media marketing, it had maybe 10 pages plus 3 or 4 videos of around 5 minutes each.

                                                      Guess how much he sells his 'course' to for non-adult business clients?

                                                      Almost $1000... The fucked up thing, these people he touts it to actually buy it.

                                                      We had to get access to his processing account a few months back and just half way through the month he'd sold almost 10k worth of his course.

                                                      I guess the adage that people will buy anything online is true, if its promoted effectively enough to them.

                                                      We also have several self help ebooks of our own, I am one of the first to admit they really don't have much to them content wise, but surfers eat this shit up at $30-$80 a month AND they rebill!

                                                      Our weight loss ebook made its first sale within an hour of us linking it up on AdWords... She is still a currently active and rebilling member @ $40 a month for the last 12 months...

                                                                                          If you're lucky and the scammer is an idiot maybe the headers will reveal something? Does live.com show IPs or do they block them as Gmail does?

How does that work, they join the monthly recurring site and the ebook is online in the 'members area' rather than as a direct downloadable pdf, or?

                                                                                                                                                                  Think of it like one of the old SicCash or PlatinumBucks members area's the content never changed, but the member still got billed each month until they cancelled or the card expired.

                                                                                                                                                                  Custom CMS just to mange text in the members area and the 'last' page is referral links to various affiliate programs relating to whatever niche the 'ebook' is about

                                                                                                                                                                          Give CCBill or ECSuite a go for the billing processor, they're actually pretty decent

                                                                                                                                                                          If its a mainstream product you can also use Paypal for recurring billing although their system can be funky at times.

                                                                                                                                                                                  Unfortunately Paypal typically sides with the customer for stuff like this (one of their reps told me this).
