I have been following the articles you have listed and I was just curious. Is there any word from those who are there watching the trial or taking part in it on how things are going. It seems like the judge has been siding with the FSC a lot.

Any ideas on how it looks that this will turn out?

The legal team is sharp, the witnesses credible, and the Judge seems engaged.

No idea how it will turn out. :2 cents:

But, I give a shout out to all that have contributed to make this happen.:thumbsup

Cool. Thanks for posting the detailed articles. They are interesting.

I kind of get this feeling that the legal stuff won't end with this trial, but maybe we can get to a place where the government will work with industry to come up with fair, reasonable 2257 laws.

Interesting quote from Mark Kernes' AVN article:

Quote:

The judge began by complimenting both teams of attorneys, saying they had been well-prepared and had given good presentations in court. He also described all the witnesses as honest, but that some gave testimony that deserved to be considered with greater weight than others.

The judge noted that the plaintiffs' complaint had provided a good roadmap to the issues, and that the lead plaintiff, Free Speech Coalition (FSC), had described itself well in both its filings and in board chair Jeffrey Douglas' testimony. Judge Baylson opined that Douglas had a lot of expertise in the adult industry, and also that the judge believed that the industry does want to be law-abiding and that it is sincere in its beliefs?a sincerity he expanded to include all of the plaintiffs' fact witnesses. He opined that those witnesses' testimony deserves great weight regarding their First Amendment concerns.

I think that is some good news. If nothing else it shows the the judge is very open minded about this case and should be fair in his rulings.
